M. RAEDECKER / I. MELSHEIMER
26.01 > 18.04.2010
The painter Michael Raedecker, born in Holland in 1963 and settled in London, revisits the traditional genres: still lifes, landscapes, ruins, flowers in a very fluid treatment of painting in shades of gray, on which intervene embroidered additions. This exhibition, which brings together some twenty works of the past five years was the first presentation of this artist in France.
Isa Melsheimer (Neuss-Düsseldorf, 1968), embroidery is also a drawing technique. Sculptor, she often allowed him to bring a flexible material and tackle the real space model to scale. Very interested in architecture, Melsheimer develops a reflection on the living space. She developed a specific project to Nîmes from the constituent grid architecture of Norman Foster.
